Prime Day 2023: Unbeatable Deals on Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle

Update: Check out the Prime Day 2023 deals here.
The time has come again – Amazon’s annual Prime Day sale kicks off today. Just like in previous years, there are interesting eReader deals to be had if you have a Prime membership or are willing to take it for a test run.
You can get the Kindle Paperwhite 4 for €50 off, and the standard Kindle for €30 less.
Kindle Paperwhite €50 Off
The Kindle Paperwhite, introduced in October 2018 with water protection and Audible support, is currently reduced by a solid €50.
For the cheapest version, that’s a 42% discount. Even its predecessor was not much cheaper at the end of its multi-year lifespan. The €50 discount also applies to more expensive versions without special offers, with larger storage and 4G connectivity.
In our review, the new Kindle impressed across the board. The waterproof eReader offers excellent, very even screen illumination, great contrast thanks to E-Ink Carta, and sharp text with 300 ppi.
The newly added Audible support allows you to purchase and listen to audiobooks directly on the device (via compatible Bluetooth speakers or headphones). With its well-known software features, the device impresses again and stands out from the competition.
The price drop to €70 is a great opportunity to grab one if you’ve had your eye on the Kindle Paperwhite.

Kindle €30 Off
Not only is Amazon’s latest addition to their most successful eReader series cheaper, the basic model is also getting a price cut. The entry-level Kindle, which just received a hardware upgrade a few months ago, costs only €50 on Prime Day instead of €80.
The basic model differs from the Kindle Paperwhite with lower screen resolution (167 ppi vs. 300 ppi), a recessed screen, no water protection, and less storage space.
This device is mainly for those who read very rarely, want to spend as little as possible, or aren’t sure if digital reading is for them. For everyone else, the current €20 extra for the Kindle Paperwhite is worth it.
