Included with the eBook reader are three eBooks (The Lion’s Hour, A House for Four Sisters, More Than Words Can Say), a beach mat, an inflatable beach pillow, a bag with an integrated cool compartment, and a film to customize the Tolino Shine.
The package costs 119.99 euros (instead of the regular price of 149.14 euros) and is available while supplies last.
In our test, the Tolino Shine impressed with its simple operation, while the recent software update brought further (minor) improvements. This makes the first Tolino eBook reader nearly as functional as the newer Vision model. Of course, you will have to do without the E-Ink Carta screen, but at least in direct sunlight, the differences in readability are negligible.
If you don’t have any personal need for the bundle, it certainly also makes for a nice gift idea. However, you might want to start thinking about the late summer market. From August onwards, retailers gradually begin to prepare for the Christmas season. In the following weeks and months, you can definitely expect various special offers again, including likely deals on the Tolino Vision—as seen recently at Bertelsmann.
