Tolino Shine Rooting Tutorial via ADB [Video Guide]

Original message: How quickly things can change. Just a few days ago, we reported that root access on the Tolino Shine didn’t seem possible in an easy way, and already we’ve been proven wrong. Thanks to “hecke“, who found a way to gain root access on the Tolino Shine via ADB without opening the device, I was able to take some first steps outside the usual user interface today.
I captured this in a short video, which shows an alternative Android launcher on the Tolino Shine and a few applications.
The operation of the rooted Tolino Shine is surprisingly smooth, although due to the absence of a home and menu button, virtual keys are necessary for proper Android operation. The steps to achieve root access are currently still relatively complicated, meaning there is (still) no one-click solution to achieve the results shown in the video. However, I will be publishing a picture tutorial here in the coming days on how you can root your Tolino Shine too.
